Supreme Court of Canada ordered the Ontario Court of Appeal to reconsider the plaintiff’s appeal

On October 20, 2016, the Supreme Court of Canada ordered that the plaintiff’s appeal must be reconsidered by the Ontario Court of Appeal in light of the recently released case of Ledcor Construction Ltd. v. Northbridge Indemnity Insurance Co. The Ontario Court of Appeal heard the reconsideration on January 20, 2017. It reserved its decision.

Ontario Divisional Court denies leave to appeal in Bell Mobility class action

On December 16, 2013, the Ontario Divisional Court denied the application of Bell Mobility Inc. for leave to appeal the decision certifying this case as a class action. As a result, the certification order stands and the case will proceed to trial on behalf of more than a million customers.
